Short CV:
Sven Söhnlein studied Computer Science at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) and received his Master Degree (Diplom-Informatiker Univ.) in 2005. From 2006-2010 he was a researcher at the Department of Software Engineering at FAU, while working on his PhD-Thesis as part of an industrial research cooperation with the company ZF Friedrichshafen AG. He received his PhD in Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) in 2010 with summa cum laude. The thesis was honored with the PhD-Award of the Technical Faculty in 2011. From 2011-2014 he was a Post-Doc in the european research project "Resilient Reasoning Robotic Co-operative Systems" (R3-COP), sponsored by the European Union (EU) and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). In 2014, he joined the company Method Park Engineering GmbH as a software engineer and consultant and conducted research and development projects for companies like Siemens, Continental or the Federal Agency of Work, for instance. Besides beeing a freelance consultant, engineer and trainer, he is currently responsible for the IT-Project- and Quality-Management at the Government Office of Information Technology in Nuremberg and since 2020 a lecturer for Computer Science at the FOM University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management Nuremberg. He has gained advanced trainings and certifications including Software Architecture (iSAQB), Software Test (ISTQB), Project Management (Prince2), Agile Development (Scrum Alliance), Leadership (Management School St. Gallen), Academic Teaching (FBZHL Zertifikat Hochschullehre) and Virtual Academic Teaching (FOM Zertifikat Virtuelle Präsenzlehre). Ongoing research focuses on development and evaluation techniques for high reliable software systems and includes the supervision of student theses (see theses) as well as the regular publication of corresponding research results (see publications). |
